It's as if something has clicked in Adelyn. Some trigger that has caused her to go into explore, unpack, destruct, taste, and must-keep-moving mode. It's so fun and so hard at the same time. If you were a fly on the wall today at our house, you might have heard the following:
"Good job. You found the bottom of your book basket! Now can you put them all back in?" (Nope)
"No, no. We don't put that in the toilet."
"Thank you for finding this hardened food under the couch!"
"Adelyn, when the doggies are eating they are a NO TOUCH"
"What's that in your mouth... oh gross. Give that to mama please."
"Austin, where did she go?.... I've lost our child."
"Found her. She was unpacking all the dog leashes for the 8th time today."
"We "pat-pat" doggies, not grab. Pat-pat, like this."
"Adelyn, pat-pat daddy's face... not grab. Pat-pat. Good job!"
"Babe, she sees your computer. She's going for it. Get it fast!"
"Gentle... gentle, Adelyn"
"No, no, we do not bite mama. That hurts mama."
"She's got the printer cord... she's got the printer cord!"
"Keep your food on your tray. We don't feed doggies."
(on the phone) "You should see my house right now. It looks like a tornado went through."
To any rebuke we may give her, we are often met with this response...

Oh, the drama.
It's hard being one.
