Adelyn's First Birthday Party!

Happy Happy Birthday Adelyn!

I know every mom says this but how in the world has an entire year gone by!? We celebrated Adelyn's birthday with a watermelon themed party (since Adelyn's favorite food is watermelon). I had her decked out in a special onesie too.

Here is the front. I made it with my Silhouette Machine. (Check out Thriving Home for other Silhouette projects I've made in the past few months.)

We had most of our family in town to celebrate. Here is Adelyn with Aunt Les.

Grandma and Great-Grandma

Adelyn did a good job greeting all the party-goers too. She loved watching all the kiddos run around and didn't mind being passed around from person to person.

Uncle Sneak (who took most of these pictures by the way) got Adelyn's hair all riled up for the party.

Here's our attempt at a family photo.

Cutie in her brand new sandbox!

It turned out to be a really nice day. Most of our time was spent in the back yard playing yard games and hanging out.

We of course had PLENTY of watermelon!

What would a watermelon party be without a watermelon cake? (Strawberry flavored if you're wondering)

Adelyn had her own special "smash cake" too.

I think she liked it.

What do you think?

She got to open some presents too. When I say "she got to" I really  mean I encouraged her to pull the tissue paper out of the bag which actually happened maybe two times. She was too busy socializing with the crowd to be distracted with such menial tasks. No worries, though, her second-cousin, Emmy, was more than willing to help out.

Isn't she a cutie!

Nana had fun too!

It was a super busy day. I learned that throwing a birthday party is A LOT of work. It was totally worth it though. Hopefully one day I can show Adelyn this blog post and tell her about her special watermelon party.

Happy Birthday you cutie-patootie! We love you!
