7 Months. SEVEN MONTHS OLD!

My goodness, Adelyn. Where have the past seven months gone, little one?

You are a busy little gal. You love to grab grab grab. Anything put in front of you, you want to get your little hands on and then put it in your mouth. I had to stop you from consuming an envelope today. You may have gotten a few bits past me though.

My goodness, you make us laugh. You have a big open mouth smile that lights up room. Every person you meet comments on your big, bright eyes. You prefer to be in a lap most of the time and you for sure let us know when you aren't happy about something. I think your daddy and I caught our first glimpse of sass the other night when you jerked your head away from daddy trying to console you.

You have your first tooth! You we're very dramatic about it either! I imagine more are on the way!

You love to eat. You are loving the most unexpected foods too! You of course like the normal stuff like apple sauce, bananas, and peaches. But we were surprised to find you have quite the appetite for hummus, prunes, and strong flavors.

You're done breastfeeding. I didn't expect it to happen this early but you had other plans. Mommy's supply can't keep up when you are so distracted and more interested in wiggling around rather than being still and eating. Your tummy hasn't quite adjusted to the formula but we're getting there. Lets just say it's making you work a little harder to keep things moving. The doctor suggested laying off the bananas, rice cereal, and apple sauce for a while.

You had a play date today with your (soon to be) friend, Eleanor. I think you kept her mommy, Rachel, pretty busy but I think you had a good time.

You went swimming a few days ago and you loved it! I loved it too! You were kicking those little legs and were all smiles the whole time in the pool. You didn't even notice that it was nap time until we got into the car. Here's a video  of you cruising around in a raft.

Speaking of nap time, you still like to take 3 naps a day. For the most part, one of those is a long one but the other ones are pretty  much 45 minutes on the dot.

Chauncey is still convinced you can throw the ball for him. He likes to put it in your lap in hopes that you'll fling it to the back yard. Soon enough, Chauncey. Soon enough.

We love you to pieces little lady. We think you are going to be quite the diva but we're up for the challenge. You've taught us a lot in the past seven months.
